Hydro Flask Campaign

How might we: create a concept for black teens so that they feel welcomed into the predominately white outdoor space and feel inclined to involve themselves in those recreational activities.

Tagline: “This Adventure Is Yours”

Hydro Flask will be promoting its seasonal products during black history month with the encouragement of their new target audience (black youth and parents) to “claim their outdoors”. This engages the Black community into the outdoor recreation space because it implies that they have a place in it if they make it their own. Using the hashtag #HikeWithHydroFlask, teens and parents can show how they are claiming their outdoors during Black History Month with their Hydro Flask gear. Hydro Flask will also be partnering with the organization “Portland POC Hikes” to host a group hike celebrating the Black community and their history with the outdoor space.

In addition Hydro Flask will make custom Black History Month themed water bottles that they will sell on their website.
